Adventure Day One –Thanks for Being Here

May 19, 2008 – Even in the midst of starting chemotherapy and worrying about his future – Rickey slipped away early in the morning to the hospital computer to write me a short thank you note -

Hi Honey Bunny, (a.k.a. PJ)

I am so glad you were with me yesterday.  I’m the luckiest man in the world to have you in my life.  You have made me such a complete human being.  I have no regrets.  You have made my life so wonderful.  I am sorry you have to put up with the pain.

On this adventure it is critical to stop and give thanks, no matter what is happening in our lives.  When was the last time you sent someone you loved a “thank you” note?
